Why Your Skin Deserves a Natural Skincare Makeover

Nature’s Solution-Transform your skincare routine with natural ingredients!

Growing up I had always been intrigued by how my mum  would make her own moisturizers using ingredients from our kitchen like honey, aloe vera, and avocado. I was always intrigued by the idea of using food for skincare and would often help her create different concoctions.

As I got older, I started to research more about natural skincare and realized that there are many benefits to using natural ingredients. In this blog, I’ll share some of the things I’ve learned about natural skincare and how you too can incorporate natural ingredients into your skincare routine. My Skincare Journey

As someone who values natural skincare and the benefits it brings, I have to admit that there are a few non-natural skincare ingredients that I still swear by. Specifically, I am a big fan of retinols, AHAs (alpha-hydroxy acids), and BHAs (beta-hydroxy acids). While these ingredients may not be derived from natural sources, they have been proven to be effective in addressing certain skincare concerns.

Retinols, for example, are a type of Vitamin A derivative that is used to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone. While there are some natural ingredients that can help to improve the appearance of aging skin, such as vitamin C and peptides, retinols are one of the most effective ingredients for addressing signs of aging.

AHAs and BHAs, on the other hand, are used to exfoliate the skin and promote cell turnover.  While there are some natural exfoliating ingredients, such as fruit enzymes and natural acids like lactic acid, they may not be as effective as AHAs and BHAs at addressing certain skin concerns, such as acne and clogged pores.

While I believe that natural skincare is important and has many benefits, I also believe in using whatever skincare ingredients work best for your skin. For some people, natural skincare may be enough to address all of their skincare concerns. For others, like myself, a combination of natural and non-natural skincare ingredients may be necessary to achieve the desired results.

It’s important to note that not all non-natural skincare ingredients are created equal, and some may be more harmful than others. It’s important to do your research and choose skincare products that contain high-quality, safe ingredients. Additionally, it’s always a good idea to patch test any new skincare products before incorporating them into your routine, to ensure that they don’t cause any adverse reactions.
